COMMISSIONS

Before getting in touch with me regarding commissions, please read all the information below to gather an insight to the process. If you still have some questions afterwards, please don't hesitate to get in contact with me.

LEAD TIME

When considering a commission, please consider the turn-around time, from the moment you get in touch, all the way to hanging the piece up in your home! This will take about 4-6 weeks.

I’m usually booked up 3 months in advance so be sure to get in touch 3-4 months before your required date to avoid disappointment and secure your booking!

My diary for Christmas starts booking up 4-5 months in advance from around July/August time. So again, please be mindful of this when considering a commission.

COST

My costs are determined by the amount of hours I spend on your piece.

So please get in touch if you would like an idea of cost, for any of the standard commissions below .

(Please note that all commissions require a NON-Refundable deposit upfront, which is included in the asking price)

  • A SINGLE SUBJECT COMMISSION.
Includes the cost of printing and a standard frame, and delivery if local.

  • A DOUBLE SUBJECT COMMISSION.
Includes the cost of printing and a standard frame, and delivery if local.

  • A TRIPLE SUBJECT COMMISSION.
Includes the cost of printing and a standard frame, and delivery if local.

  • A COMMISSION OF A FAMILY OF 4 OR MORE.
Includes the cost of printing and a standard frame, and delivery if local.

For any pieces that aren't within the local Cheshire area, an additional delivery charge of £20 is required.

DELIVERY

Your commissioned piece includes delivery if you live in the local Cheshire area. I will personally deliver your piece myself at an arranged time and address that is appropriate for you. Or, collection is available too if preferred.

I like to deliver the work myself as I love to meet the people behind the drawings I’ve spent weeks creating and I like to ensure that you are thoroughly happy with your purchase and know that it has been delivered safely and successfully!

If you are not in the local area, I will send the piece to you via first class postage at an additional delivery charge of £20.

Happen to be in the area at the completion time of your piece? Great! Let me know and we can arrange a pickup!

PHOTOS / HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH

I will require high resolution images in order to make a start on your piece. Typically, the best pictures are at the same height of the subject, in natural lighting and front on. I know in some cases this may be not always be possible if the subject is no longer with us, so in that case I ask you to send me as many photos as you have!

If you have a good quality camera, I'd suggest having a go at taking some photos with different compositions that you like and to ensure that the subject’s eyes are visible and you can clearly see the texture of the fur/ hair or skin.

If you don't have a camera however, don't worry! A fairly new iPhone or Smart phone will work just fine, and please take and send as many photos as you wish – the more the better!

I currently don't offer a photography service so please note that the quality of your painting will rely on the quality of the images you send to me, so please try and avoid blurry photos that are lacking in detail.

HOW TO BOOK
